Sequins, flowers, hair, corn, imprints, fake eyelashes, snake skin shed, hand imprints, clay, acrylic nails on Hand-Made paper sheets, hand-made paper, mask and hand-made paper sculpture of my chest
Scanned paper sheets and sculptures, digitally sketched to look like hanging papel picado. It is an installation embracing brown bodies, diva attitudes and strong spoken Mexican women. It is made of materials indigenous to Mexican land, like rattlesnake skin, corn husks, and flowers, as well as shiny and beauty objects that make the pieces campy and disco. The sculptures are made of paper pulp using molds of my face and my breasts to shamelessly free the nipple.
