Installation, chicken wire, paper, glue, mirror, foam. 2020
A commissioned installation for the University of Minnesota. The installation is a protest against physical and invisible borders that create barriers for immigrants of color. It shows fists, hair, mouths, and glue sweat, and tears to represent the people oppressed by these borders. The mirror is for the viewer to look at themselves while these objects are in the background. This is to symbolize that these things are happening around us all the time.
