Tempura on wood, carved wood mask,  2022
Part of the residency 'Mexico in Minneapolis' at the Weisman Art Museum, a collaboration with the University of Minnesota and the City of Minneapolis. The residency took form of an apprenticeship by guest Oaxacan artists Jacobo y Maria Angeles.
The mask is an alebrije of a mixture of an iguana, a frog, and a chicken. It is painted with Zapotec symbols that each represent a story or a natural element.
